Ms. Smith is an Associate of the Firm and works in the Litigation Division. Ms. Smith has experience handling commercial litigation matters at both the state and federal levels, including, among others, claims for breach of contract, breach of implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, tortious interference with business relationships, fraud, and defamation. Ms. Smith also has experience handling civil rights claims including §1983 claims, malicious prosecution and false arrest claims, as well as employment/labor law matters. Ms. Smith’s experience also includes appellate advocacy including bringing and defending appeals and filing petitions for writs of certiorari as well as motions for rehearing and rehearing en banc.
Ms. Smith is admitted to the United States district courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern districts of Florida, as well as the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
