Mr. Abbott is a Partner of the Firm and a senior member of the Litigation Division. He focuses on governmental and commercial litigation. Mr. Abbott is an experienced trial attorney with extensive experience in the areas of land use/zoning, employment discrimination, civil rights, constitutional law, police liability, and products liability, in both State and Federal courts. Mr. Abbott is also a seasoned appellate attorney, having appeared before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, Florida District Court of Appeals, and the Florida Supreme Court. Mr. Abbott has served as the in-house City Attorney for Hollywood, Florida, as the Chief Litigator for Hollywood, and as a litigator for the Miami-based firm of Blackwell & Walker.
