Mr. Waldman began his legal career as an Assistant General Counsel for the Florida Department of Transportation.  During the seven years that Mr. Waldman represented the Department, he litigated several multi-million dollar damage cases, served as lead counsel in a variety of jury trials, bench trials, and mediations, and interacted with Department officials, committees, and staff on all aspects of property acquisition.  While serving the Department, Mr. Waldman gained invaluable expertise in all disciplines related to property acquisition, such as valuation, engineering, land planning, business damages, relocation, and marketing.  Mr. Waldman interacted closely with in-house staff, outside consultants, and expert witnesses during his tenure at the Department, and continues to closely monitor Department acquisition projects, policies, and procedures.

In 2002, Mr. Waldman entered private practice to represent private property owners and businesses in all aspects of eminent domain, pre-suit property acquisition, and real property litigation.  He has handled property acquisition matters initiated by state, federal, local, and regional governments.  Mr. Waldman also represents and consults with a variety of governmental entities and utilities in eminent domain, property acquisition, project design, and engineering matters.  Mr. Waldman has a Masters degree in Urban and Regional Planning, and uses his planning expertise in litigating land use and real property cases on behalf of both private sector and public sector clients.
