We assist developers and Community Redevelopment Agencies (“CRA”) around the State in accomplishing their community redevelopment visions and goals through the applied knowledge and experience of our lawyers. We have been involved in some of the most ambitious and far reaching community redevelopment projects in the State and we are counsel to many CRA’s such as the Naranja Lakes CRA, City of Boca Raton CRA, City of Homestead HERO, Coral Springs CRA, and City of Hollywood CRA.
We have extensive experience in CRA issues including land development and redevelopment regulations, public/private partnerships, eminent domain, special election laws, taxation, finance, green building, transit oriented development, real estate transactions, adoption of Development of Regional Impact (”DRI”) development orders and comprehensive planning issues. We also offer extensive knowledge of real estate development law and experience in the preparation and negotiation of development agreements, ground leases, financing and security agreements, and documentation of enterprise community grants and revolving loan fund matters.
We are especially proud of our work in the field of New Urbanism and Traditional Neighborhood Development (”TND”) design, and the results we have helped bring about in the communities we serve. We currently work with cities, consultants and developers to prepare regulations and development plans for the creation of TNDs with mixed-use commercial/residential/government districts that integrate government offices, cultural arts centers, libraries and educational facilities with residential and commercial buildings and beautiful open space and recreational areas. We are proud of our work on some of the most successful New Urbanism projects including Mizner Park in Boca Raton, Abacoa in Jupiter, Miramar Town Center and West Palm Beach’s City Place.
