Roger is a trial attorney in our Litigation Division and the chairman of our International Group. He solves problems for foreign and domestic businesses, governments, and individuals, by negotiating, investigating, litigating, trying, arbitrating, and appealing disputes. Roger serves as a U.S. law expert in foreign court proceedings, advises foreign governments on matters of U.S. law, and leads cross-border, multi-national, and domestic dispute resolution teams.

Practice experience includes private banking, companies and partnerships, directors & officers, commercial disputes, contract, fraud, tort, foreign sovereign immunity, insurance, securities, investment, real estate, landlord-tenant, professional liability, environment, antitrust, franchise, class action, injunction, interpleader, garnishment, aviation, healthcare, intellectual property, litigation funding, § 1782, creditor rights, labor and employment, and products liability.

Roger has tried dozens of cases to verdict and argued appeals in federal and state courts across the U.S., and arbitrated and mediated many more. Notable cases include: lead counsel suing a former head of state for crimes against humanity; establishing a new standard for franchisor tort immunity (Supreme Court of Florida); securing release of OFAC-frozen foreign governmental assets; securing or defeating summary judgment, class certification, garnishment, and injunction; and representing military contractors in high-profile, multinational partnership litigation trial.

Roger is active in the International Law Section of the Federal Bar Association (Chairman, 2018-19) and the American Bar Association, as well as local, state, and national political activities. He has been honored repeatedly as an AV-rated attorney by judges and his peers, as a “Super Lawyer” and by Florida Legal Elite.
