Kaitlyn Kelley is an associate in the Firm’s Litigation division.
Prior to joining the Firm, she clerked and practiced at a civil litigation firm in Northern Florida. There she worked in the firm’s labor and employment division where she assisted in negotiating separation agreements and litigating employment discrimination and retaliation cases in administrative, state, and federal proceedings.
Additionally, through her work in federal civil rights actions, Kaitlyn has become well-versed in subjects such as sovereign immunity and constitutional violations under the Fourth and Fourteenth Amendments. She has also worked on a variety of tort cases including nursing home negligence, medical malpractice, first party insurance disputes, and general personal injury.
While in law school, Kaitlyn pursued her passion for immigrant rights by working for an immigration firm in Orlando, Florida, where she helped represent immigrants before United States Citizenship and Immigration Services and the Department of Justice’s Executive Office for Immigration Review. When she returned to law school in the fall of 2018, she continued her immigration work by becoming a student advocate at the Florida State University College of Law’s Immigration and Farmworker Clinic, where she advocated on behalf of indigent immigrants seeking humanitarian visas. These experiences gave her the ability to advise Spanish-speaking clients on important legal matters.
In her down time, Kaitlyn enjoys a healthy lifestyle, and you can find her in the gym or hiking along Florida’s beautiful canopy trails.
