Carlos “Charlie” Grande represents local governments, municipalities, and public entities across a wide range of complex matters, including election law, public trust and ethics, government contracts, public records, and Sunshine Law compliance. He regularly advises public clients on drafting and reviewing legislation, analyzing statutory and regulatory updates, and ensuring operational compliance with evolving legal requirements.

Prior to joining the firm, Charlie practiced at a boutique litigation firm focused on complex cross-border disputes and international commercial matters. He drafted responsive pleadings in international disputes involving foreign law and conducted in-depth research on complex issues, including the valuation of confiscated Cuban properties.

During law school, Charlie gained significant practical experience through legal clerkships, researching construction dispute resolution frameworks and reviewing title commitments. He also drafted responsive pleadings, reviewed easements and other real property documents, and presented development feasibility analyses to clients.[1.1]

A Coral Gables native, Charlie attended Belen Jesuit Preparatory School before going on to Georgetown University, where he competed on the Division I tennis team while double-majoring in International Business and Marketing and developing proficiency in Italian, Portuguese, and French. He earned his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2025, serving as an ABA Representative for the Student Bar Association.

Christina focuses her practice on insurance defense and related civil litigation matters. She defends clients through all phases of litigation, from pre-suit investigations through trial preparation. Having represented clients ranging from large corporations to individuals, Christina understands that effective representation requires a tailored approach responsive to each client’s specific needs and the unique demands of each case.

Before joining the firm, Christina practiced at a South Florida litigation firm, representing clients in general liability and automobile accident matters. Shana has more than twenty-two years of legal experience, including nineteen years representing management, businesses, and municipal clients in labor and employment matters throughout Florida. She advises clients on a broad range of employment law issues, including collective bargaining, employee discipline, grievances, policy development, employment agreements, and overall risk management.

She handles employment matters arising under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and the Florida Civil Rights Act (FCRA). She then spent over fifteen years at a full-service law firm representing municipal and private clients across Florida, where she served simultaneously as Labor Counsel, Deputy City Attorney, Assistant General Counsel, and Police Legal Advisor for multiple local government and private entities.

Before joining the Firm, Shana founded and operated her own law firm, providing management-side legal counsel, investigation services, and compliance consulting to businesses, local government entities, and HR directors throughout Florida.

Michael represents businesses, insurers, and institutional clients in a wide range of civil litigation matters, including general liability, premises liability, automobile negligence, construction-related disputes, and complex commercial litigation. He guides clients through all phases of litigation, from early case evaluation and discovery through dispositive motion practice, mediation, and trial.

Before joining the firm, Michael served as department managing attorney at a full-service law firm, where he oversaw litigation operations across multiple offices. In that role, he maintained primary responsibility for litigation strategy and trial management in high-exposure matters and served as trial counsel in numerous jury trials. His trial experience includes voir dire, opening statements, witness examinations, evidentiary arguments, and closing arguments.

Jake represents government entities, developers, businesses, and private clients in a broad range of local government matters. Mariela is a Florida Bar Board Certified attorney in Construction Law and represents contractors, owners, designers, and sureties in complex commercial disputes in state and federal courts, as well as in domestic and international arbitrations.

Having taken multiple cases to final hearing in arbitration and trial, she advises clients on contract review, as well as all aspects of litigation, including risk assessment, motion practice, all aspects of discovery — including complex electronically stored information discovery — and trial preparation. With her experience in construction and commercial litigation, Mariela helps clients anticipate and resolve issues efficiently, protecting their interests in high-stakes matters.
