Meredith Hammer represents public and private entities in connection with employment litigation, risk management, business transactions, and appellate matters.
Before joining the firm, Meredith served as a judicial law clerk to U.S. Magistrate Judge Patrick M. Hunt of the Southern District of Florida. She previously clerked for Judge Mark W. Klingensmith of Florida’s Fourth District Court of Appeal. During her clerkships, Meredith assisted on complex civil and criminal matters, drafted comprehensive bench memoranda and opinions for judicial appellate panels, and prepared orders and recommendations on case disposition in federal district court. She also supported judges in preparing for hearings and trials, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of judicial proceedings.
Meredith earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida, where she served as editor-in-chief of the University of Florida Journal of Law & Public Policy and held leadership roles on the Honor Committee. She graduated summa cum laude from Florida Atlantic University with a double major in English and Arts and Humanities, earning recognition as the Outstanding Senior English Major and valedictorian of the FAU Honors Scholars Program.
