Mikayla Taylor focuses her practice on insurance defense, representing businesses and individuals in civil litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Mikayla gained invaluable experience working at both plaintiff and defense firms. She has handled complex matters involving auto negligence, wrongful death, product liability, and medical malpractice in addition to her labor & employment and insurance work.
A double ‘Nole, Mikayla graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s in Criminology, prior to obtaining her Juris Doctor degree from Florida State University College of Law in Tallahassee, Florida. During law school, she held leadership roles in the Black Law Students Association and served as a subciter for the Journal of Land Use and Environmental Law, all while heavily focusing her energy on competing on the school’s prestigious Trial Team. She continues to give back to the legal community by volunteering as a judge for mock trial competitions, mentoring the next generation of trial lawyers.
