Sam focuses his practice on commercial and municipal litigation at both the State and Federal levels. Specifically, his practice emphasizes litigation of construction, commercial, and contract disputes before both Federal and State courts in Florida.
Sam's construction litigation experience includes serving on the team that represents both owners and contractors and he has recently represented the Village of Islamorada in its multi-million dollar dispute concerning its amphitheatre; the Town of Golden Beach in its $2 million dollar dispute concerning its storm water system contractor; an underground subcontractor in its multi-million dollar dispute with contractor concerning the jet fuel farm at the Miami International Airport’s Southern Terminal; and a general contractor in a multi-million dollar dispute concerning the construction of an agricultural research center.
Sam's recent governmental/municipal experience includes representing: the Cities of Homestead, North Miami, Coral Gables, North Bay Village, and Hallandale Beach concerning each city’s respective red light camera ordinances; Indian Creek Village concerning a challenge to a special assessment; and the City of Miramar and City of Homestead defending contractual disputes.
