Samantha Soto is an Associate in the Firm’s Coral Gables office of Weiss Serota Helfman Cole & Bierman, P.L and is part of the Labor and Employment Practice Group.

Ms. Soto regularly handles discrimination charges and lawsuits brought against public and private employers pursuant to state and federal anti-discrimination and wage and hour laws, including Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Florida Civil Rights Act, and the Florida Whistle-blower’s Act. She advises employers with respect to employee discipline, retention and termination, employment manuals and policies, and contract interpretation. 

Prior to joining us, Ms. Soto was a trial attorney for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, where she handled all phases of employment discrimination matters on behalf of the federal government.  Ms. Soto also practiced commercial litigation for several years at two of the nation's largest law firms, where she focused on products liability and securities law.  She graduated from Columbia University School of Law, where she was a Teaching Fellow and Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.
