Our deep roots in the Florida market, along with our strong governmental experience, has led us to serve as general and special counsel for several Community Redevelopment Agencies (CRA) in the state, including the Naranja Lakes CRA, the City of Boca Raton CRA, the City of Homestead HERO, the Coral Springs CRA, the City of Hollywood CRA, the Lake Worth Beach CRA, and the Margate CRA. We have unrivaled experience in CRA representation, which encompasses general government, land development and redevelopment matters involving the preparation and adoption of business incentive grant programs, site development assistance grants, and other similar redevelopment programs traditionally implemented by CRA’s.

Leveraging the knowledge of our land use and real estate lawyers, we counsel you on the preparation and negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, development agreements, ground leases, financing and security agreements, and community grants documentation, and revolving loan fund matters.

As thought leaders in the industry, we have been intricately involved with new urbanism and Traditional Neighborhood Development (TND) design and regulations. Working with CRA staff, consultants and developers, we assist with generating development plans and associated financing arrangements to create TND’s like Mizner Park (Boca Raton), Abacoa (Jupiter) and City Place (West Palm Beach). Such plans include design criteria and funding for mixed-use commercial and residential districts and governmental complexes that house municipal government centers, cultural arts centers, libraries, and educational facilities.
