As a local government attorney with an expansive roster of municipal clients, Alan Gabriel’s work in the areas of transportation, education and land use has helped to shape the development of South Florida. Alan serves as general counsel for the Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization, is special counsel on concurrency and zoning matters for the School Board of Broward County and is the City Attorney for Marco Island.
As new technologies and population growth impact the needs of communities, Alan advises his clients on the legal issues, planning and infrastructure required to support these ongoing changes. He is a skilled negotiator who, when disputes arise, helps clients to address and resolve issues through mediation.
Alan serves as special magistrate for code enforcement for the City of Pompano Beach and the Town of Davie. He also represents the cities of Tamarac, Pembroke Pines, Lighthouse Point, Coral Springs, Lauderdale Lakes and Margate.
Alan was raised in South Florida and is a longtime resident of Fort Lauderdale.
