Timothy M. Ravich

Tim is an AV-rated lawyer and one of only 34 lawyers (top .004%) in the State recognized as a "Florida Bar Board Certified Aviation Lawyer." He also is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Mediator.
He is experienced as first-chair counsel in bench and jury trials in Federal and State courts, representing individuals and companies in the prosecution and defense of civil lawsuits in the areas of aviation, business and contract disputes, product liability, mediation, alternative dispute resolution, trial and appeal.
Tim’s commercial litigation experience is primarily defense-oriented and he has recently represented Fortune 500 companies in business tort and employment litigation; served as lead counsel for a major financial institution in objecting to a bankruptcy discharge; represented major lenders in lawsuits throughout Florida arising under the Truth in Lending Act (TILA) and Real Estate Settlement Practices Act (RESPA); defended claims of breach of contract, fraud, and violation of Florida's Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUTPA) for large multinational corporations; counseled a multinational corporation in opposition to claims of sexual harassment and equal employment opportunity violations; and litigated over 1000 national product liability lawsuits against major pharmaceutical and product manufacturers, including “fen-phen” diet drug and tobacco litigation.
Tim was president and CEO of the Dade County Bar Association (DCBA), the largest voluntary bar association in the State of Florida. During his term, the DCBA received the Supreme Court of Florida's “Voluntary Bar Association Pro Bono Award.”
Tim has spoken and written extensively about aviation and aerospace issues at national and international conferences and for peer-reviewed journals throughout the United States and abroad, including the American Bar Association, Southern Methodist University’s Journal of Air Law and Commerce, the North Dakota Law Review, the Florida Bar Journal, the University of Miami Law Review, and the Journal of the Transportation Research Forum, and the LexisNexis® Expert Commentary Series.
