Congratulations to WSHC+B partner Alison Smith who was featured in The Jamaica Observer for her recognition at this year’s Black River Day celebration in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. Alison received the inaugural Diaspora award for her civic contributions in South Florida and her continued support to St. Elizabeth.

Black River Day comprises a day and night street festival organized by the St. Elizabeth Chamber of Commerce with support from the St. Elizabeth Municipal Corporation. Alison, who grew up in St. Elizabeth and Manchester, was recognized during the annual festival.

Alison focuses her practice on labor & employment, municipal, appellate, and administrative and regulatory matters. Alison regularly represents public and private entities in connection with lawsuits brought pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title VII, the Florida Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and many other labor and employment laws.
