Firm Member Susan Trevarthen spoke at two sessions of the International Municipal Lawyers Association (IMLA) annual conference in Atlanta, Georgia. The first, titled “A Practical Approach to Regulating Signs,” provided practical advice on how to thread the needle between political and police desires and constitutional liability. The second was on the basics of land use law and gave an overview on the latest information other municipal attorneys need to know to spot issues to determine the best course of action. Susan is the co-chair of the land use section of IMLA.
Susan handles land use, planning and zoning matters for governments and is a municipal attorney. She has been practicing law since 1991.
