As real estate and construction continue to rebound, Weiss Serota Helfman Cole Bierman & Popok have responded to the needs of clients by adding Terence McKinley to  the firm as Of Counsel in the Miami-Dade office as a member of the firm’s construction practice area.  

Terry’s experience includes work on both public and private development projects representing the interests of the project owner, lender, designer, constructor, surety or insurer.  He comes to the firm having previously served as the Worldwide Director of Contracts for Parsons Corporation handling all of the company’s non-federal projects.  He is skilled in contract risk management practices ranging from project procurement and proposal development, teaming and partnering agreements (joint ventures and other Special Purpose Entities), contract negotiations through change management and project management to claim preparation and defense, warranty management and project close-out. 

In addition, to his tenure at Parsons Corporation, Terry worked for the Metro-Dade Transit Agency for 17 years in a variety of roles including budget, strategic planning, capital improvement and governmental liaison responsibilities.   

He earned his JD cum laude from the University of Miami, where he also earned his MBA.  He is a graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in Industrial Engineering.
