WSHC+B partner and Chair of the Business Transactions Division, Marc Solomon, was featured in a story published by the Daily Business Review where he discussed how there has been a steady increase in private equity firms acquiring lower middle market businesses as baby boomers are looking to retire. He shares his findings across other sectors such as the consolidation within healthcare with the acquisition of specialty practices and pharmacies.

Marc elaborates, “Platform companies, fairly good sized companies and owned by private equity, they are going out and they’re looking for smaller competitors to acquire either to achieve economies of scale, geographic diversity, or for growth and expansion.

Marc represents local companies and entrepreneurs as general counsel and as a business advisor. He handles the structuring, negotiation, and consummation of transactions in corporate finance, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and exit and succession planning. A significant portion of Marc’s legal practice involves representing clients in the acquisition and sale of multi-million dollar businesses.
