Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce Transit Committee Chair Mitchell Bierman, co-hosted with Miami-Dade County Mayor, Carlos Gimenez, a meeting of (Denver Transit Fly-In) delegation along with Chamber members and other community stakeholders to reach out and discuss lessons learned on the Denver trip.  About 100 people attended the meeting held in the collaborative work center in the Mayor’s office.  Denver delegates discussed what they learned and Denver’s successful implementation and provided some examples that Miami could emulate.  Stakeholders that could not attend the Fly-In could ask questions and provide input.  The overall mood of the discussion was one of enthusiastic optimism regarding Miami’s transit future.  Elected officials and the business community renewed their commitment to work together with the intensity that these critical issues demand to make transformative transit improvements  within a relatively short timeline.   Alfonso Chardy wrote the following article for the El Nuevo Herald.-http://hrld.us/1Pn7UvO
