The Daily Business Review has announced its finalists for Most Effective Lawyers. We are pleased to announce that Jamie Cole, Matthew Mandel and Anthony Soroka have been named as finalists in the lobbying and regulation category.

Earning a place in the finals came as a result of the team’s collaborative effort in the case of The City of Delray Beach vs. Waste Management Inc. of Florida. The matter involved a situation where a city vendor convinced a city to extend a valuable solid waste collection contract without following the required competitive bidding process.  Cole, Mandel and Soroka were able to protect the integrity of the procurement process by voiding the contract and enabling the City to proceed through a fair competitive process and potentially save millions of dollars of taxpayers’ money.

Most Effective Lawyers is the Daily Business Review’s annual awards event, recognizing attorneys who scored the biggest jury verdicts and settlements or achieved significant decisions affecting public policy or business.

All finalists will be honored at a luncheon at the JW Marriott Miami on December 5.
