Each year, the South Florida Business Journal lists the area’s most reputable firms and noteworthy attorneys in its Book of Law. We are thrilled to announce that the South Florida Business Journal selected three WSH attorneys as Leading Lawyers in its 2012 Book of Law. Members Mitchell J. Burnstein, Michael S. Popok and Jamie Alan Cole all have extensive litigation experience and hold top management positions at our firm.

Mitchell J. Burnstein is the Partner-in-Charge of the Broward office and Chair of the firm’s Eminent Domain Practice Group. He handles real property litigation matters for the firm, specializing in eminent domain, inverse condemnation and constitutional takings. An AV rated attorney, Mitch has served as lead counsel in more than 80 jury trials in state and federal courts.

Michael S. Popok is the Partner-in-Charge of the Miami-Dade office. He also served as Chair of the firm’s Litigation Division. Michael is an experienced commercial and construction litigation attorney, having obtained multimillion dollar judgments and settlements on behalf of his clients. Recently, Michael represented six cities in constitutional challenges to red-light camera programs.

Jamie Alan Cole is the Managing Director of the Broward office. Jamie serves as the City Attorney for Miramar and Weston, and as special litigation counsel for municipalities in Broward and Palm Beach counties. Jamie served as lead litigation counsel for several coalitions of local governments challenging State and county laws and actions.
