Joseph H. Serota, one of our firm’s founding partners, was recently named Of Counsel to the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. Joe will serve in this capacity for a two-year term. Joe previously served as Chair of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and the New World Center Committee (Downtown Development) of the Chamber.

The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce began in 1907 as the Miami Board of Trade. It has grown significantly since its inception and is recognized and respected for its impressive stature in the community. It serves as an activist chamber that seeks solutions to the problems faced by businesses. The Chamber is dedicated to building the best environment for business in the Americas.

A founding member and senior litigator at the Firm, Joe has extensive experience representing private and public entities throughout South Florida.

He is active in professional organizations and civic affairs, including having served as chair of the Judicial Nominations Commission, Third District Court of Appeal, president of the Dade County Bar Association and as member of the Board of Governors of The Florida Bar. He is also past chair of the Metropolitan Dade County Community Relations Board and of the Miami-Dade County Independent Review Panel.

Joe received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his juris doctor from the University of Miami School of Law. He resides in Pinecrest.
