WSH Litigator Timothy M. Ravich has been appointed to the American Bar Association’s House of Delegates as the representative for the Dade County Bar Association.  The appointment is for a two year term, and he will be sworn in at the end of August 2012 at the Annual Meeting in Chicago.

An AV-rated attorney, Tim is one of only 34 lawyers (top .004%) in Florida recognized as a “Florida Bar Board Certified Aviation Lawyer.”  A member of our Litigation Division and Airports and Aviation Service Group, he has extensive experience as first-chair counsel in bench and jury trials in both State and Federal court.  He has represented individuals and companies in the prosecution and defense of civil lawsuits in the areas of aviation, business and contract disputes, product liability, mediation, alternative dispute resolution, trial and appeal.  Tim published a course book titled “Aviation Law after September 11th” (Vandeplas 2010) and teaches aviation and space law as an adjunct professor at the University of Miami School of Law and Florida International University’s College of Law. Tim is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Mediator.  He served as President of the Dade County Bar Association from 2008 through 2009, and has served on aviation-related committees for the Florida Bar Association.
